Careers Fair

Careers fairs and insight events are popular ways for employers to engage with our students. We run a number of sector-specific careers fairs and insight events throughout the academic year, which is a great way to raise your profile on campus.

The aim of these events is to make penultimate and final year students aware of the work experience, internships and permanent positions available within your company. We also encourage earlier years to attend the fairs as a useful way to develop their understanding of industry.

Team Talk Tournament

Team Talk Tournaments was set up last year to help raise awareness and funds for Scotland’s mental health charity SAMH and men’s mental health in particular.  We hosted our first 7 a-side football tournament in June 2019 at Oriam.  This was a huge success both in terms of how the tournament was conducted and played with some excellent football along with the £931.70 that we raised.

The tournament involved 160 players made up of 16 teams with 10 players each.  Teams were split into 4 groups of 4 battling it out in 20 minute matches to progress through to the knockout stages.  The eventual winners were amateur side Mill AFC from Falkirk winning the final in a close game 1-0.  We are looking forward to our next tournament on Sunday 9th February at Oriam and welcoming the next 16 teams to compete for this very worthy cause.

We would also like to welcome anyone who wishes to come and watch the tournament which is kicking off at 10:30am.  If you would like to support us you can do so by donating via our Just Giving page : https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/team-talk-tournaments
