ORIAM COVID-19 GUIDANCE
Oriam Face Mask Policy (Updated – 3/9/21)
Following the Scottish Government announcement regarding moving to Level 0, Oriam have reviewed the requirement for all users, except if exempt, to wear face masks in the facility.
Oriam is a facility which requires face masks to be worn, Government guidance, when in the circulation areas of the facility. All users must put on a face mask before entering the facility and ensure they also wear a face mask for moving in circulation areas or leaving the facility.
The Scottish Government stated;
By law, you must wear a face covering in certain indoor public places, including public transport, in Scotland.
You are also advised to wear a face covering outdoors in crowded places. Wearing a face covering helps to reduce the spread of COVID-19, as you can still catch and pass on the virus even if you have been vaccinated.
If you are exempt, you may choose not to wear a face covering. That would be the case if, for example:
- you’re under 12 years old
- you’ve got an illness or disability which means you cannot wear one
- wearing one would cause you severe distress
If any users of Oriam fail to wear a face mask they will be asked to purchase a mask at reception or leave the facilities immediately. If they continue to disregard the mandatory requirement, they will be reported for failing to comply.
To support the continued safety for all users within the facilities, all users who continue to fail to comply will be reported to the Operations Director. The circumstances and failure will be reviewed, and appropriate action will be imposed.
1) Initial failure – verbal warning & removed from facility by staff team
2) Repeated failure – Reported on compliance tracker and written warning, issued by the Operations Director
3) 2nd Repeated failure – Operations Director will contact user representative and discuss access agreement. If the user group cannot comply, they will be asked not to return to the facility.
Oriam would like to continue to offer a safe facility and hope that all customers will comply with the Scottish Government legislation.
