School has certainly been out for summer, over the last month we have opened our doors to hundreds of kids from Edinburgh the Lothian’s and Fife.

We’ve had a variety of camps running over summer, Thistles Netball, Young Engineers, Kings Camp, Kestrel Gymnastics and Hearts Box Soccer Academy.

Each camp different but enjoyable, giving kids an opportunity to learn new skills, interact and most importantly have FUN.

Thistles Netball

The Scottish Thistles Camp this year was extra special as their national athletes competed in the 2019 Netball World Cup, finishing in 11th Place.

Smiles all round for the Thistles Camp

The girls received the very best training, coaching tips and the opportunity to meet and learn from the thistles as they travelled the country.

Kings Camp

Kings Camp are ever present over the school holidays. Six weeks of fun filled activities that is driven by their energetic coaches.

Each week they have “Wet Wednesdays” a massive water fight between kids and coaches. “Kings Games” an opportunity for parents to come along, get involved and gain an insight to what the kids get up to on camp.

Kings Camp Coaches during camp

Kings Camp has significantly grown over the years and there are days when numbers are up to 80-90 kids on camp.

Kestrel Gymnastics

Kestrels camp ran for a week and the kids received excellent coaching in a variety of different disciplines.

Young Kestrels show off their certificates

The camp was an excellent opportunity for kids to learn new skills, keep fit and interact with others that have the same passion for gymnastics as them.

Young Engineers

It was great to have Young engineers along this summer for the first time, a camp providing kids with an exciting way to explore science and engineering.

Young Engineers are all smiles

The kids have been busy enjoying outdoor experiments, Lego building and playing games with the aim to learn about scientific principles.

We are super excited as Young Engineers are planning on future camps.

Hearts Box Soccer Academy

An excellent opportunity for kids to develop their own game through individual and group sessions to take them to the next level.

Kids meet HMFC Stars

The kids received high quality coaching, played mini tournaments amongst each other and were lucky enough to have a few Hearts F.C. stars pop in for a kick about and photos.

We had a very successful summer and are already looking forward to summer camps 2020.
