As part of the team of Duty Managers you form the cornerstone of our staffing team providing a vital artery between senior management and day to day operations. Every move that happens will go through you and your team and this role is vital to ensuring our success. You will manage the daily operation of this world class sporting facility overseeing all aspects of our service. You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the preparation of our facility in line with the requirements of international high performance sport. This will be achieved whilst being cognisant of student and community members who will also be prominent users of the facilities and services.
You will manage your staff team to ensure that our front of house service is continually delivered to a high standard. You will plan the operation of the facility on a daily and weekly basis to ensure the facility is prepared to meet the expectation of each customer. In order to do this you will need to be proficient in leading and inspiring your team go above and beyond. You will plan their work and manager the processes, procedures and facility checks required to monitor services standards. You will work to support the delivery of our strategic plan and support the work of all sections of the organisation. Working 5 out of 7 days you will be responsible to and provide support to the Bistro Chef Manager. Your key duties as an Oriam Bistro Cook will be to provide and assist with the provision of professional, welcoming, high quality, flexible catering service to students, colleagues and visitors to Oriam in all areas where the service is provided or may be provided by the in house team. To prepare, cook and supply food items, meals, buffets, sandwiches, packed lunches and event catering in support of the Bistro operation and events operation within Oriam. Working with the Chef Manager, Bistro Supervisors and colleagues ensure all statutory standards are adhered to, and that all parts of the kitchen areas within Oriam are maintained at all times to the standards set and required by the University’s Hospitality Services Management on behalf of Oriam.
