CLINIC OPEN HOURS AND ACCESS

WHEN IS ORIAM CLINIC OPEN?

Oriam Clinic is currently open Monday to Friday with the following hours. Appointment availability may vary based on facility and practitioner scheduling.

  • Monday| 08:00 - 19:00
  • Tuesday| 10:00 - 20:00
  • Wednesday| 10:00 - 19:00
  • Thursday| 09:00 - 20:00
  • Friday| 08:00 - 17:00

DO I NEED TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT IN ADVANCE?

Yes you do need to book an appointment in advance, we currently don't offer any walk-in appointments for the Clinic. You can check availability and make your booking online here

HOW DO I BOOK AN APPOINTMENT  FOR THE CLINIC?

Initial bookings for most standard physio, massage and podiatry services can be made online here. Some of our more specialist services can only be booked directly with our practitioners, after consultation. If you have any specific questions about the services available at the Clinic, please find full service details on our Clinic page or email physio@oriam.hw.ac.uk. 

HOW DO I GET TO THE ORIAM CLINIC?

Complimentary parking is available in our main carpark or it is a short walk from the Heriot-Watt campus bus stops. Please enter the building via the main Oriam reception and follow the signage from there. The Clinic is based in the Academy building which is a little bit of a walk from Reception, so please give yourself plenty of time, prior to your appointment start time. If you do have any mobility issues, please contact Oriam reception on 0131 451 8400 or email the Clinic team at physio@oriam.hw.ac.uk to arrange alternative access options.

CLINIC SERVICES

WHAT SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE AT ORIAM CLINIC?

We currently offer the following services:

  • physiotherapy (musculoskeletal assessment, exercise rehabilitation, manipulation, manual therapy, strapping, dry needling, gym group sessions and 1:1 rehab sessions in gym)
  • Hydrotherapy ( 1:1 sessions and group sessions)
  • Massage therapy (Sports, therapeutic and pregnancy massage)
  • Chiropody (skin and nailcare)
  • Podiatry (Gait analysis and insole/orthotic provision)

DOES THE CLINIC TAKE NHS REFERRALS?

We do accept GP referrals but also self-referrals (where you can come straight to us without the need to see a GP first). If we need to refer you to see a GP, we will of course refer you to them with appropriate paperwork)
