Be Prepared - Pack Smart & Store Safely
Your best workouts start with the right preparation. Start strong by having your gym bag ready with all the essentials. Once you arrive, head to the lockers to drop off your bag and jacket and secure your locker with a padlock - bags and jackets left on the gym floor can become tripping hazards.
If you've forgotten your kit, it's best to come back another time. Working out in jeans and boots isn't just uncomfortable - it's unsafe.
Here's a quick kit bag checklist to get you started:
- Clean workout clothes & indoor training shoes
- Water bottle & snack - Stay hydrated and fuel your body. Eat something an hour or two before your workout and bring a snack to help refuel afterwards.
- Towel & toiletries - That fresh post-workout feeling is hard to beat.
- Padlock - Our lockers require a padlock to keep your belongings secure and off the gym floor.

Be Present - Focus on your workout, not your phone.
Your gym time is a chance to focus on yourself - physically and mentally. Put your phone away and be present in the moment. Use rest periods to breathe, reset and prepare for your next set.
Avoid sitting on equipment while scrolling. It's not a sofa - it's someone else's next workout.
There are some great apps out there, like our Technogym App, to help you track your workout but please step away from the equipment if you need to check what's next on your routine.

Be Respectful - Share the Space, Support Each Other
A tidy gym is a happy gym. After using equipment, wipe it down and return it to its proper place. This helps keep the space clean and ready for the next person.
Respect others' privacy - avoid taking photos or videos that include other gym users. You don't need to be best friends with everyone, but being mindful goes a long way.
If someone's waiting, consider letting them "work-in" between your sets. You never know when you might need a spotter or a bit of encouragement yourself.

Be Brave - Ask for Help
If you are new to the gym or trying out a new workout, ask for help. Don't risk injury by trying a new skill or lifting a heavier weight on your own. Most regular gym goers are happy to share a little experience. We also have a fantastic fitness team who can support with any questions, try one of our Induction sessions to get comfortable with the layout and equipment.

Final Thought
We're all here to improve - Let's help each other do just that. Be prepared, be present, and be respectful. That's what make a Gym Hero.
