Oriam Football Festival

This June, Oriam is delighted to host a special Football Festival as part of Heriot-Watt University’s Staff Celebration Week, bringing together colleagues from across the campus and beyond for an afternoon of fun, activity, and friendly competition.

Taking place on Thursday 11th June, 2:00pm – 4:00pm, this unique event will offer participants the rare opportunity to step onto Pitch 1, our elite performance surface normally reserved for Scottish Rugby Union (SRU) and Scottish Football Association (SFA) teams, and our Outdoor Synthetic Pitch, home to HWUFC and Hearts Women.

What to Expect

The Football Festival is designed to be inclusive, engaging, and enjoyable for all levels of ability, with two formats available:

⚽ Walking Football
A slower-paced version of the game, ideal for those looking for a social, low-impact way to get involved.

⚽ 5-a-side / 7-a-side Matches
For those keen to get moving, small-sided games will provide a fun and competitive environment suitable for all experience levels.

Whether you’re an experienced player or simply looking to try something new, there’s a place for everyone.

Individuals and teams are both encouraged to sign up—so whether you’re rallying colleagues or joining solo, you’ll be warmly welcomed.
