As Scotland's Sports Performance Centre, Oriam is home to some of the best sports facilities in the country. From our exceptional Strength and Conditioning Gym and Hydrotherapy Pool to our pristine pitches and performance changing rooms, our Performance Wing comes fully equipped to provide the perfect environment for sports teams and athletes to achieve their training goals. Our world-class facilities are the trusted training base of the Scotland National Rugby Union team and Hearts of Midlothian F.C. and have seen us host some of the highest profile teams in the country including, Arsenal, and Manchester City.
Alongside our fantastic facilities we have a team of fully qualified performance sport scientists and practitioners who can support teams and athletes through the delivery of strength and conditioning sessions, educational workshops, recovery sessions and physiological tests to help clients reach their peak performance. Our team are able to work with clients to build and plan a comprehensive programme to support them in achieving their short term or long term goals. Whether you are a youth footballer aiming to be a professional player in 10 years time, a long distance runner striving for Commonwealth Games selection, or a Parkrun enthusiast looking to complete a new physical challenge, we are here for you.

Meet Our Performance Team
Performance Sport Manager
Katrina oversees our performance team and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Oriam, working with our partners and student athletes across multiple different sports and disciplines.
Lead Sports Scientist
Jen leads on our Sport Science services for our Sport Scholarship Programme. She works closely in partnership with the SFA on their women's programme in S&C and Sports Science.
Vicky is a Sports Scientist within our performance team and works primarily with HWU Sports Union clubs leading strength and conditioning sessions alongside pitch testing and hydrotherapy.
Saumya leads the delivery of Sport Science support for Heriot-Watt University's Football Scholarship programme and conducts hydro pool rehabilitation with our charity partners Back Onside.
Ronnie is our senior physiotherapist at Oriam and provides physiotherapy services to HWU Sport Scholars alongside managing Oriam Clinic. He is passionate about supporting athletes' rehabilitation.
Athlete Lifestyle and Advocacy Coordinator
Emma leads on the recruitment and advocacy of Heriot-Watt's Sport Scholarship Programme. She enjoys providing support to our Sports Scholars and helping them to balance their studies and career.
Head Squash Coach
Donna leads on all things squash at Oriam including our Sport Scholarship Programme. As a Commonwealth Games Gold Medallist she brings a wealth of experience for players of all levels.
Banji Koya (Bej)
Head Football Coach
Banji Koya delivers all aspects of our Football Scholarship Programme and leads HWU's football teams. As a UEFA A Licensed Coach he enjoys creating a nurturing football environment.

Oriam Clinic is a sports and exercise clinic which supports athlete health and performance. Our team of experienced health professionals are able to support sports teams and athletes with a range of services including physiological testing, physiotherapy and injury rehabilitation.
Our Sports Scholarship programme, delivered in partnership with Heriot-Watt University and HWU Sports Union, offers scholarship opportunities to support athletes who wish to study whilst competing.
